“A Grain of Truth” tells the story of a man named Nivellen who has been cursed to look like a monster. Geralt kills the sorcerer and breaks the boy’s curse. He soon realizes that the monster is a young boy who has been turned into a creature by a sorcerer.
In “The Witcher”, Geralt is hired by a village to kill a monster that has been terrorizing them. Geralt decides to help her break the curse. Geralt is then hired by King Foltest to kill a dragon, but the dragon turns out to be a young girl who has been cursed. The book starts with “The Edge of the World”, in which Geralt meets Yennefer, a powerful sorceress, for the first time.
